bVisual QuickStart Guide/b b—the quick and easy way to learn!/b With iiPhoto '09 for Mac OS X: Visual QuickStart /i iGuide/i, readers can start from the beginning to get a tour of the applications, or look up specific tasks to learn just what they need to know. This is the eBook version of the printed book. IPhoto '11 helps you organize, edit, and share your photos. With iPhoto '11 it's easy to organize and manage the thousands (maybe tens of thousands) of photos on your Mac by Faces, Places, and Events. IPhoto '11 also comes with editing and enhancement tools that rival those in expensive photo software. Having been accustomed to iPhoto 9, I had difficulty adjusting to iPhoto 11 - major changes! Had to wait 3 months for new Missing Manual, but it was worth the wait. Like all M Ms we have found so helpful, with a touch of humor while simplifying the complexities of our various Mac updates, this is most helpful. For me, iPhoto 9.6.1 is still working on macOS 10.13.5. But I am using 2015 MacBook Pro, not a 2011 Modell. Make a full backup, before you upgrade, so you can revert to the previous version, if your Mac should not work well with the new system. Fill your library, not your device. ICloud Photos can help you make the most of the space on your Mac. When you choose “Optimize Mac Storage,” all your full‑resolution photos and videos are stored in iCloud in their original formats, with storage-saving versions kept on your Mac as space is needed.
Whether you’re on a Mac or iOS 7 device, iPhoto now makes it easier than ever to organize, edit, publish, print, and share your photos—but neither version of the program offers a manual to help you get going. Fortunately, David Pogue and Lesa Snider offer a clear and objective guide to iPhoto in this witty, authoritative book.
